Our engagement methodology

Our annual initiative process is three phased. The initial two phases are not made public. Consequently, we are able to engage in dialogue with each company in order to persuade them to adopt our proposals.

1st phase: choice of initiatives

  • Definition and revision of the principlesheld by each UCITS
  • Analysis of the environmental, social and quality governance strategies of companies in the portfolio
  • Proposal of one or several possible initiatives per company
  • Selection of the initiatives by the Board of Directors/Investment Committee of each UCITS

2nd phase: presentation of proposals to the companies

  • Confidential letter to the Chairmen of the companies in the portfolio
  • Dialogue with the companies regarding the various initiatives proposed
  • Analysis of the responses and comments from the companies regarding said proposals

3rd phase: General Meeting interventions

  • Decision taken with our investors on the possibility of public action to suggest to all shareholders to implement one or several of the initiatives previously discussed with the companies
  • Presentation of a draft to the investor community as a whole
  • Discussion of the initiative with the companies concerned
  • Public action in General Meetings:

-       written questions

-       oral questions

-       resolutions

  • Release of information about our public initiatives in the press, in our publications and on our website
